Podcasts, Good News, and General Excitement

Well, lots going on.

The podcast Sadimac & I recorded with my sister is up, so please, listen and enjoy. We had a lot of fun, and hope to do it again sometime, and other than calling the Guild of Calamitous Intent the Guild of Malicious Intent I feel we had a pretty good showing.

Sadimac has had a lot of excitement of her own. There's some stuff that she won't want me to go into, but let's just say that something really wonderful happened today, and things will be coming up roses very soon. I'll announce the excitement in a couple of days when the details are more public (no, we are not having a baby).

Hopefully we'll catch up on Doctor Who and Battlestar in the next week or two, so I can feel normal again.

Oh, and I will no longer be working regular cashier shifts at BLB01, as I am now finally a full time Generalist. Good bye 5 hour till shift on Saturday afternoon. I will not miss you.

The Good Doctor(s)

I am a fairly big Doctor Who geek. My Ipod has random tracks of the Tardis engine noise, K9, Daleks, the scream effect and various versions of the theme song. The Think Geek (birthday in April: hint hint) catalog we have is particularly worn on the Sonic Screwdriver page (it WILL be mine), and the pair of glasses I'm going to get are the spitting image of the ones that the 10th Doctor wears.

All that's stopped me from building a Tardis in the back yard is lack of carpentry skill (idea: ask if I can paint the shed), and the only thing that keeps me from buying crazy things like the Tardis USB hub and remote control Dalek is a lack of funds.

The new season starts soon, and I am as giddy as a very nerdy school girl over it. Battlestar Galactica also starts soon (April 4th), so I'm going to have a very geeky April. Oh, how I love it.
