The freedom of not having to sit in my office to write is, well, freeing. I'm currently on the porch with Sadimac, giving her the security of having me near by. Meanwhile I am able to not only be with her, but I'm also sit down and write something (I'm ruined for writing on paper nowadays: It's the computer screen or nothing).
So, every once in a while, we all obtain an object that actually improves our lives rather than making them more complicated. What then, dear readers, out of what I'm sure is the flotsam of technological junk at your collective disposal, has actually made your life tangibly better?

My laptop (that may be a family trait, others seek to leave the computer behind) and cellphones.
I know people use them irresponsibly but taking my cellphone where ever I go I can be sure if there is a problem at school, a family emergency, I have an emergency or see someone in trouble I can make or take that call.
Haven't been by in awhile, just caught up. Congrats on the job and the laptop! Glad to hear things are going better for you.
I'm a cell phone junkie, even though (thankfully) no one ever calls me.
My Ipod! Having 7000 random songs from virtually every genre fills me with such joy, I sometimes forget to be cynical.
And yeah for your laptop and time spent together!
hands down
My ipod.
I love having my kind of music around me all the time, everywhere I go, to filter out the Bullshit that floats around me.
