So, I'm unemployed.
I have been for not quite two weeks now, and I'm sorry I haven't been posting. You see, I don't handle unemployment well. I worry, I stress, I take it out on those closest to me, and to compound matters I have trouble motivating myself to get things done.
So of course, I've been a real jerk the last few days, and I have the rotten habit of playing video games when I should be doing something (anything) constructive. As a result, aside from going to a couple of job interviews and required unemployment stuff, I've been pretty much worthless.
There's a person in the HR department of the Big Local Book Store (most of you know who I'm talking about) that's been scheduling me for as many interviews as she can get me in on. It's nice to be wanted. I also interviewed at an engraving place, but the positives seem to be being overwhelmed by the negatives, so I'm hoping that the next interview at the Big Local Book Store pans out.
I'm having a get my ass in gear day, so while I'd love to stay and chat, there's a few more things I at least want to get started on before the day is out.

You need to not be depressed about it. Think of it as a short vacation where you must do a scheduled activity daily. Interview, do what you need to and then enjoy what fleeting free time you have. Fingers still crossed on job situations too. And hey, we get to game tomorrow!
What are you talking about? You've been your usually jolly self around me. I don't think there's anything wrong with playing video games and taking a little time for yourself. You have been doing a lot of productive stuff around the house too.
You're a busy guy, I think you deserve the vacation. Don't stress about it. You'll get a job soon.
Baby Boy, when was the last time you had real down time. Just before you went to work at "that" place.
Don't worry about it, do your best and all will be well. Just keep looking and interviewing. You don't have to be productive all of the time, how can you function if you don't take a break once-in-awhile? We love you, Sadimac loves you, and the kaos krew loves you too. That is about the best you can get.

Keep you chin up kid, like everyone else NK and I are pulling for you and take advantage of not working, you'll have plenty of time later when you will be wishing for a break.
Sounds like you are finding some direction. Time for yourself is a GOOD thing, things will pan out the way they are supposed to. I hope the job you do get is a good one that makes you happy.
